ASIC/FPGA Verification Engineer (Associate, Experienced, or Lead) – So Cal
Boeing’s Electronic Products team is looking for ASIC/FPGA Verification Engineers in El Segundo or Huntington Beach, CA. Employees will develop state‑of‑the‑art digital ICs and SoCs that support critical aerospace, defense, and commercial applications. The role collaborates with electronics groups worldwide and ensures robust verification for designs both built on site and designed elsewhere.
Position Responsibilities- Design and implement an ASIC/FPGA verification environment using UVM and System Verilog.
- Develop self‑checking, reusable test benches employing object‑oriented principles such as inheritance and polymorphism.
- Create functional coverage models and conduct code coverage analysis to ensure thorough verification during simulation.
- Set up regression tests and collect coverage metrics to track verification progress.
- Assist with FPGA‑based prototyping and validation according to program and system requirements.
- Collaborate across functions to align verification strategies with project goals and timelines.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Math, Physics, Chemistry, or an equivalent non‑US qualification.
- Proven experience in ASIC/FPGA verification processes.
- Familiarity with architectural frameworks for ASIC/FPGA verification using System Verilog/UVM.
- Proficiency in System Verilog and System Verilog Assertions.
- Experience implementing test plans and achieving coverage closure.
- Solid understanding of object‑oriented programming principles.
- Capability to design self‑checking, reusable test benches from the ground up.
- Experience with waveform debug tools.
- Use of revision control systems such as SVN, CVS, or Git.
- Proficient in Linux environments.
- 5+ years of related experience (Associate); itee work longer for Lead (10+ yrs).
- Master’s degree in EE, Computer Engineering/Science or equivalent experience.
- Hardware‑based integration and test experience of ASIC/FPGA designs.
- Experience with hardware emulators, especially Palladium.
- Experience with high‑speed Ser Des interfaces (JESD
204C, PCIe, Ethernet). - Proficiency in scripting languages (Make, Perl, Python, etc.).
- Familiarity with space‑based design techniques and radiation mitigation.
- Demonstrated history(Documented 1st pass) success with ASIC designs.
Associate (Level
2): 2+ years related experience. Experienced (Level
3): 5+ years. Lead (Level
4): 9+ years.
Position available in El Segundo or Huntington Beach, CA. Relocation assistance is provided on a case‑by‑case basis.
