Check out this NEW Opportunity with Axient! Axient is seeking a Senior Engineer/Integration SME to support our customer in El Segundo, CA. What you will do... Support to Government customer in El Segundo, CA for systems engineering and integration of Space Force projects for the Space Systems Integration Office (SSIO) to a variety of tasks and projects, to include but not limited to:
* Evaluation and assessment of future space and missile Systems of Systems (SoS) and Families of Systems (FoS) at the cross- enterprise level, linking materiel solutions to warfighter capability needs in new combinations.
* Provide cross-enterprise architecting analysis, engineering best practices, and enterprise level integration to providing highly integrated space enterprise capabilities to the warfighter and rapid decision quality support for key modernization or recapitalization decisions.
* Create and synchronize the enterprise system-of-systems policy and digital engineering framework to support Space Systems Command mission across multiple space programs.
* Evaluation and assessment of future space and missile Systems of Systems (SoS) and Families of Systems (FoS) at the cross- enterprise level, linking materiel solutions to warfighter capability needs in new combinations.
* Create and assess systems, enterprise, and scenario-based roadmaps
* Perform assessment of technology threats and gaps
* Assist government managers in the management of projects and taskings by developing and tracking performance and schedule baselines Skills you will need...
* Master's Degree in a related field such as Engineering, Mathematics or related technical field.
* 20 years of industry, federal government experience, or SETA/FFRDC supporting federal government acquisition.
* Degree in a technical field related to space operations, ground systems, space domain awareness, data, data transport, communications is desired.
* For Command and Control Technical Agent support, should have direct operational experience or have directly supported operational units in previous work. Position will support JTF-SD and CFSCC so knowledge of operational command and control is vital. Space Domain Awareness skills and experience also desired.
* For Ground Systems or Space Data Transport support, should have broad range of experience in across the space community (e.g., space operations, ground systems, space domain awareness, communications and data transport, etc).
* Experience with NRO and/or other mission partners is desired.
* Relevant Domain

Experience:

Recent experience in NSDC, NRO, AFRCO, SpRCO, DEL9, DEL6, STARCOM, or related areas, with prior DoD Satellite Operations experience a plus.

* Experience with classified and SAP work also desired.
* Knowledge and background in Space Systems preferred.
* Project Leadership required.
* Must be able to perform all duties independently.
* Must have ability to retain TS/SCI level clearance. #CJ
