Math Tutor

Mathnasium of El Segundo is now hiring Math Instructors/Tutors! Are you great at math and love teaching kids? Then, we are looking for you! As a math instructor, you will work with children from Kinder to 12th grade in a fun group setting at our center. We offer part-time jobs with flexible scheduling and opportunities to earn bonuses based on performance indicators.

Hours will vary, but generally are afternoon and evenings Monday – Friday from 3‑7 pm. Tutoring occurs in our safe commercial center. No in‑home tutoring. Pay is competitive + bonuses and based on education and experience. This is a part‑time position with advancement opportunities.

• Great math skills through Algebra I
• Excellent communication and multi‑tasking skills
• Ability to professionally interact with students and parents
• Energetic and confident personality
• Must pass a Math employment test that covers elementary to Algebra 1 skills

• The ideal candidate should have experience as a math tutor, mathematics tutor, experience in tutoring middle/high school students, or have a background as a math teacher
• Ability to teach students in upper‑level high school math courses
• Previous teaching experience or other experience working with students (a plus but not necessary)

Compensation: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
