CAD Drafter

We’re seeking a CAD Drafter to support a leading industry company specializing in set design and construction. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to trade show, set design, and engineering projects.

CAD Drafter Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 2D and 3D shop drawings, patterns, and templates for props and scenery used in trade shows, toy displays, television commercials, and photo shoots.
• Convert preliminary sketches, verbal, and written concepts into precise CAD detail and assembly drawings to support fabrication.
• Produce drawings that facilitate manufacturing in wood, metal, and model shops within a dynamic setting.
• Collaborate closely with design and fabrication teams to ensure accurate interpretation of conceptual ideas.
• Manage project timelines efficiently, balancing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

CAD Drafter Qualifications:

• Proven skills in CAD drafting, particularly with Vectorworks a plus.
• Basic proficiency in design layouts and technical drawing creation.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organization and time management capabilities.
• An associate degree is preferred; trade school education will also be considered.
