** Job Description
** Teledyne Controls is seeking a General Accountant to provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data.  The General Accountant prepares and maintains accuracy of accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to procedural standards. Provides administrative support in the collections process. Prepares outstanding accounts reports and gathers credit and/or reference information. Maintains database by entering, updating, and retrieving data, as well as formatting and generating reports.

Assists in resolution of outstanding invoice problems from past due accounts. Responds to inquiries from customers or external collection resources. May place calls or send messages to those with unresolved issues. Assist in month end close process and monthly forecast of financial statement items.
** Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
* Create monthly forecasts and yearly business plan.
* Participate in the month-end closing.
* Distributes expenditures, encumbrances, receipts, and receivables according to schedules.
* Provides record of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
* Contact customers about pending or past due invoices and document results and track progress
* Follow-up routinely to resolution reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
* Collects appropriate data and prepares federal, state and local reports and tax returns.
* Serves as back-up for other accounting duties.
* Supports the preparation of year-end audit files and analysis.
* Conducts daily risk assessments to determine the effect on sales to ensure sales plans are met
* Collaborate with different business units to develop sales forecast
* Track and report customer credits and the impact to sales
* Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.

* Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting or equivalent such as Finance from four-year college or university; at least one (1) to three (3) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications:
Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
* Prior experience with ERP systems strongly preferred
** Salary Range:**$62,800.00-$83,700.000
