Job Description

Learning Resources Center Assistant - Part-time position.

Redlands Community College is accepting applications for a Learning Resources Center Assistant. This is a part-time position working up to 25 hours per week.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Serve as the first point of contact with students, faculty, and staff using the LRC and/or phoning the College

* Always answer the switchboard in a helpful and professional manner

* Assist LRC users in locating both electronic and print resources

* Teach basic research strategies

* Aid students in accessing and using online resources

* Process/catalog new library materials

* Assist in maintaining LRC holdings in OCLC

* Process/fulfill interlibrary loan requests; assist with statistics and production of reports as requested

* Maintain patron database in ILS

* Prepare overdue lists

Qualifications include:

* High School diploma or GED

* Knowledge of, or willingness to learn current library and information resources

* Excellent organization, customer service, and communication skills

* Must be capable of handling sensitive information
