Duration: 6+ Months
Pay Rate: $28/hr
About the RoleThe Associate – Inventory II supports fulfillment and inventory operations within a high‑volume environment. This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, documenting, storing, packaging, and staging materials while ensuring accuracy, safety, and adherence to standard operating procedures. The position requires strong problem‑solving abilities, technical proficiency with warehouse equipment, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Receiving & Inspection- Unload inbound shipments and verify condition, accuracy, and compliance with operating procedures.
- Conduct visual inspections of packages and materials to identify damage, defects, or discrepancies.
- Review part‑specific requirements and complete quality control checks per documentation.
- Accurately document receipts and work orders using inventory management systems.
- Perform data entry, navigate inventory modules, and ensure all fields are correctly updated.
- Assign proper storage locations and audit inventory according to standard procedures.
- Operate material‑handling equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, and electronic pallet jacks.
- Move, stage, and organize parts, crates, boxes, and containers securely throughout the workflow.
- Follow safe operating procedures and maintain equipment awareness.
- Identify appropriate packaging requirements and ensure correct wrapping, boxing, or storing of parts.
- Label and mark all items according to standard operating procedures to maintain traceability.
- Sort materials and prepare them for downstream processes.
- Identify workflow roadblocks and elevate issues that could impact downstream operations.
- Support root‑cause analysis and contribute to process improvements.
- Maintain a high standard of organization, cleanliness, and safety across work areas.
- 2+ years of experience in fulfillment center operations, including receiving and inventory functions.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail, quality focus, and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective communication skills in a technical environment.
- Basic math and analytical skills to support problem solving and inventory accuracy.
- Ability to interpret Bills of Material to determine inventory requirements.
- Ability to maintain professional relationships and contribute to a collaborative environment.
- Strict adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Experience in aerospace or automotive warehouse/receiving operations.
- Electronic pallet jack (EPJ) experience.
- Background in inventory control or materials management.
- Details of fulfillment/inventory/receiving/packing experience.
- Experience deriving inventory requirements from Bills of Material.
- Description of receiving, put‑away, picking/kitting, or shipping experience.
- Forklift experience or willingness to be trained.
