Delivery Driver

El Paso Owned & Operated. Delivery Driver position requiring a safe driving record, valid driver’s license, and an insured vehicle for delivery.

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Possess navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings.

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
• Prepare product.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.

Orientation and training provided on the job.

• Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.

• Perform basic math accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
• Make correct monetary change.
• Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders; maintain motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid, accurate movements.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Locate addresses and navigate multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when delivering product, driving, and couponing. In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F+ in some areas. Sudden temperature changes occur both indoors and outdoors. Fumes from food odors, exposure to cornmeal dust, cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler, hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher, and sharp edges or moving mechanical parts are common.

• Standing:
  Most tasks performed from a standing position. Walking surfaces include ceramic tile, bricks, and linoleum. Work surface height: 36–48 inches.
• Walking:
  Short distances for short durations; travel between the store, delivery vehicle, and customers.
• Sitting:
  Paperwork normally completed at a desk or table.
• Lifting:
  Bulk product deliveries unloaded with a hand truck; cases up to 50 lb, 3′ × 1.5′ in dimensions.
• Carrying:
  Large cans (3 lb 7 oz), pizza sauce (up to 30 lb), trays of pizza dough (≈12 lb each) carried over short distances.
• Pushing:
  Move trays on dollies; force up to 7.5 lb required to push.
• Pulling:
  Trays may be pulled.

• Stooping/Bending:
  Forward bending at the waist at the pizza assembly station; repeated 30–45 second bouts during the day.
• Forward bending also occurs at the front counter and while stocking ingredients.
• Crouching/Squatting:
  Occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
• Reaching:
  Continuous up, down, and forward. Reach above 72 inches to turn oven controls, change prices, and lift/lower objects from shelves. Reach down to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes. Reach forward to obtain toppings, clean surfaces, or answer phones.
• Driving:
  Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area; may make several deliveries per shift.
• Hand Tasks:
  Eye‑hand coordination essential; continuous hand use. Frequent use of forearms and wrists for dough shaping. Manipulate pizza peel, rolling cutter, and frequent pinching in assembling cardboard pizza boxes. Grasp cans, phone, cutter, peel, and boxes.
• Machines, Tools, Equipment, Work Aids:
  Pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, peel.
• Climbing:
  Infrequent navigation of stairs or ladders; during delivery may navigate five or more flights of stairs.

• Deliver product by car to the customer’s door.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle available for delivery.
