Job DescriptionRSCS / MRC is a full-service commercial and industrial refrigeration construction and service family of companies with 25+ years in business and operations across 10 states in the western U.S. We’re hiring Senior Ammonia Refrigeration Service Technicians who take pride in doing things the right way—safe, thorough, and customer-focused. If you enjoy troubleshooting complex systems, working across a variety of equipment brands, and being part of a strong team environment, we’d like to talk.
Key Responsibilities- Service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial ammonia refrigeration systems in customer facilities
- Replace mechanical seals on pumps and compressors
- Perform motor alignments
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems and controls
- Troubleshoot and service multiple brands of equipment and control systems
- Perform start-ups of ammonia refrigeration systems
- Work independently on-site and resolve issues when operators are unable to
- 3–5+ years of experience as an Ammonia Service Technician (industrial experience required)
- Strong working knowledge of industrial-level ammonia refrigeration (not residential/commercial-only)
- Ability to work independently in client facilities with strong safety awareness
- Willingness to travel as needed and participate in an on-call rotation
- Experience in both commercial and industrial refrigeration environments
- Self-motivated, hands-on, and dependable
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong documentation habits
- Team-minded and professional with customers and operators
We use a tiered hourly pay scale across RSCS and MRC for technician roles:
Apprentice/Entry $20–$30
, Technician (Early-Career) $30–$40
, Journeyman (Mid-Level) $40–$50
, and Senior/Field Supervisor $50–$65 (top end reserved for highest-level Senior Ammonia Technicians and Field Supervisors). Starting pay is based on verified experience, certifications, and job scope (including on-call/travel as applicable) and may vary by location due to local market and cost of living; hiring managers set the final starting rate within the appropriate tier.
