Overview
Technica LLC seeks to recruit for the position of Quality Control Inspector-Track on a Government contract with a place of performance at Fort Bliss, TX.
Responsibilities- Performs initial, in progress and final inspections exclusively on S. military vehicles, their associated trailers and MHE systems such as but not limited to the following tracked and wheeled vehicles: M60A1 Bridge Armored-Vehicle-Launched, M113 Armored Personnel Carrier, M1150 Assault Breacher Vehicle (ABV), M104 Wolverine, M109 Howitzer, M88 Armored Recovery Vehicle, M577 Command Post Carrier, M121
Mortar Carrier, M1064 Self-propelled 120MM Mortar Carrier, M1068 Standard Integrated Command Post System (SICPS), M7 Bradley Fire Support Team (BFIST), M2A3, M3A3 Cavalry Fighting Vehicle, M1A2 Abrams, , the newly inducted Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs), High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs), Palletized Load Systems (PLSs), Light Medium Tactical Vehicles (LMTVs), Medium Tactical Vehicle (MTVs), High Mobility Engineer Excavator Type I (HMEE-I), 120M Motor Graders and D7
RII Mine Clearing Armor Protection Vehicles (MCAs). - Responsible for identifying the necessary materials required to service and/or repair equipment; to include recording these requirements on applicable documents.
- Calculate all man-hours for maintenance repairs to be performed in accordance with the Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC) and other relevant maintenance procedures.
- Inspect, troubleshoot and repair complex wiring systems, hydraulics, transmissions, engines, air and hydraulic brake systems.
- Conduct final inspections on equipment verifying all work performed meets standards and documents before the equipment is ready for Government Quality Assurance.
- Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers manuals or similar documents.
- Utilize hand tools, diagnostic tools and complex computer systems for advanced maintenance tasks.
- Utilize automated maintenance management systems to provide maintenance information.
- Operate materiel handling equipment (MHE) as required.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
- GCSS-Army experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient in using EMS, IADS, and the Army Enterprise Portal (AESIP).
- Experience with the Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC) to task work orders in GCSS-.
- Comprehensive knowledge of military vehicles and/or construction equipment.
- Ability to locate locally procured parts in a timely manner.
- Knowledge in completing necessary documentation such as DA Forms 2404/5988E Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Worksheet, DA Form 2407 Maintenance Request, DA Form 2407-1 Maintenance Request Continuation Sheet, DA Form 7723 Maintenance Expenditure Limit Waiver, DA Form 461-5 Vehicle Classification Inspection, and other applicable DA/DoD forms.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks related to the position.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC).
- Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident for more than 3 years.
- Must have 5+ years of maintenance experience repairing military vehicles or heavy construction equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions including heat, wind, blowing sand, rain, sleet and snow.
- Able to function with a basic level of English oral and written language.
- Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
- Able to lift and move items within a 50 lb limit with frequent or constant lifting of 40 lbs.
- Must be able to climb on equipment to perform inspections of engines, transmissions and other vehicle components.
- Capable of climbing and working on equipment up to 10 feet above ground.
- Capable of using and understanding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Able to work past normal hours as mission requires.
- Prior military experience in Military Occupational Skill (MOS) 63B, 63S, 63D or related.
Defense contracting experience inspecting and ordering repair parts for military equipment.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks related to the position.
