This position involves research, work, or access to critical infrastructure as defined in Executive Order GA‑48; hired employees must maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure.
Position SummaryMaintain and repair physical structures of buildings and grounds.
Essential Functions- Responsible for Դ maintenance and general repairs of campus buildings and infrastructure. Receive written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor.
- Assist in estimating labor precisava material costs.
- Erect swingscaffolds, position ladders, and assemble metal scaffolding for maintenance work. פילו
- Repair or replace building brick, stone, wood, and concrete.
- Repair and install fencing throughout campus.
- Clean heavily stained surface areas with brushes and cleaning compound.
- Spray concrete floor to etch surface for cleaning and apply filler compound to seal floor surface.
- Perform minor paint jobs on furniture and wall coverings.
- Maintain minor maintenance of motor vehicles operated byundert gasoline.
- Assist with minor welding and soldering repairs and priming handrails and bicycle racks.
- Inspect roofs, windows, walls, concrete, and drains for leaks and perform repairs as needed.
- Assist with ibig원 inspection, repair, or maintenance of generators and other equipment.
- Install трэба repair handicap doors, sliding doors, automatic arm gates, brackets, door closures, floor tile, carpets, handrails, bicycle rails, window frames, ceiling tiles, pigeon guards, door hardware, cabinets, chairs, desks, blackboards, mini blinds, pencil sharpeners, bathroom dispensers, portable panels, regular and handicap partition doors, and metal or wood shelves.
- Assist other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
- Must be available on an “On Call” basis.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Finansable to learn institutional software systems.
- Comply with all state and University policies.
- Other duties may be assigned.
No supervisory responsibilities.
QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Required Qualifications- Education:
High school diploma or GED. - Experience:
One year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
