Laborers provide general support to skilled craftsmen, including form carpenters, concrete operatives, ironworkers, rodbusters, and masons. This safety‑sensitive role requires physical labor, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

• Prepare concrete placement areas by excavating dirt and rock and grading floors.
• Assemble concrete forms, lifting prefabricated metal panels into position.
• Operate a concrete bucket on a crane, transfer concrete from truck to site, and spread poured concrete.
• After curing, strip forms and transport them for storage.
• Assist concrete finishers with power trowels and power screeds.
• Support masons by transporting bags of cement, lime, sand, grout, and stocking blocks and bricks.
• Assist carpenters in handling and setting door frames.
• Load, unload, and distribute building materials, machinery, and tools; keep the site organized.
• Promote a safe work environment, secure the site each day, and verify proper storage of materials.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Follow Hensel Phelps safety and health program.
• Initiative, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions.
• Provide own safety footwear.
• Effective written and verbal communication with coworkers and stakeholders.
• Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills.
• Reliable, punctual with reliable transportation and consistent attendance.

• Experience in construction layout, blueprint reading, and shop drawing reading.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• CPR & First Aid certification.

• Heavy work: up to 100 lbs occasional, 50 lbs frequent, 20 lbs constant.
• Frequent walking, kneeling, sitting, crouching, reaching, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting.
• Operate computer or tablet and related office machinery.
• Compliance with safety requirements, including respirator use.
• Work at heights and on ladders, stairs, Gore scaffolding &anjem; ramps.
• Exposure to noisy environment, outdoor conditions, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
• Prolonged use of jackhammer, pavement breaker, wheelbarrow, and other tools.
• Must be able to hear commands and respond to safety alarms.
