Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a diligent Maintenance Technician responsible for delivering effective, efficient, and timely maintenance services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory. The role involves traveling to various customer sites to maintain commercial properties using a company-provided vehicle and tools. The position requires expertise in preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, utilizing multiple trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, roofing, and HVAC to solve maintenance issues.
The technician will engage directly with customers to ensure quality workmanship and uphold high work standards, maintaining a professional working environment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs as per work order requirements, ensuring compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
- Conduct minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems, including repairing and unclogging toilets and urinals, replacing and maintaining valve assemblies, and maintaining faucet fixtures.
- Execute routine painting, carpentry work, and general maintenance to maintain facilities in like-new condition.
- Repair and perform routine maintenance on walls, floors, doors, and conduct necessary painting and touch-up work.
- Perform minor electrical maintenance, such as repairing or replacing fixtures, wall switches, and outlets, and replacing light bulbs, ballasts, and sockets.
- Complete service and asset inspections as needed.
- Utilize technology such as tablets and smartphones to access and complete work orders, create and submit service reports, and manage timesheets and expense reports.
- Create a positive climate with clients, ensuring consistent communication and generating customer satisfaction.
- Provide estimates for larger projects and services needed on-site.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned or required.
- High school diploma or equivalent professional experience in landscaping, trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.), or specialty floor care.
- Two to five years of general maintenance experience, including minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Possess applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid driver's license in good standing.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions, safety policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and effectively present information in individual and small group situations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in the commercial services sector is highly preferred.
- Ability to use and operate handheld devices and business systems or document management database software, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Maintain adequate knowledge of and comply with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Daily local travel between properties is required.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of El Paso, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
