Journeyman Concrete Finishers

Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Journeyman Concrete Finishers for a commercial data center project in Santa Teresa, NM. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity starting in mid-December, with the potential for extension based on project needs. The ideal candidate will have proven experience finishing slabs, walls, and other structural concrete on commercial job sites.

Position Details:

• Location: Santa Teresa, NM
• Start Date: Mid-December
• Duration: 6+ months (with potential extension)
• Hours: 40-50 per week
• Pay: $36.74/hr

Responsibilities:

• Perform all aspects of concrete finishing, including placing, leveling, floating, and troweling concrete surfaces
• Operate hand tools and power finishing equipment such as trowels, screeds, and floats
• Finish slabs, walls, footings, and structural concrete to specified grades and textures
• Apply curing compounds and ensure proper finishing for durability and appearance
• Patch, rub, and repair surface imperfections as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, elevations, and layout drawings to ensure proper placement and finishing
• Work safely and efficiently as part of a concrete crew

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of commercial concrete finishing experience
• Ability to read and follow drawings and instructions accurately
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings (base access may be required)
• OSHA 10 certification required
• Reliable transportation and personal finishing tools
