Position: Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) - Albuquerque, NM

Role Summary

The Neuroscience Account Manager will join a dynamic sales organization to exceed established goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services. This role reports to the Neuroscience District Sales Manager and focuses on promoting products within the assigned territory, building relationships, and ensuring appropriate product access and reimbursement. The position requires strong clinical knowledge, strategic collaboration, and ongoing compliance with laws and company policies.

Responsibilities
  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager to respond to daily sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budgets.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements, including expenses and call reporting, using approved systems.
  • Maintain full compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet and comply with industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, facilities, and state/local governments.
  • Handle additional, ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Required:

    BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0.
  • Preferred:
    Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Note:

    Candidates not meeting work experience requirements may be considered for the “Associate” role.
  • Preferred:
    Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience.
  • Preferred:
    Specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
  • Preferred:
    Reimbursement experience.
  • Preferred:
    Existing relationships (or those within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory.
  • Required:

    Valid driver’s license and a clean driving history.
  • Required:

    Self-starter, goal- and results-driven with a proven track record of above-average results.
  • Required:

    Fortitude to sell, compete, and a hunter mentality.
  • Preferred:
    Strong relationships and knowledge of the territory.
  • Required:

    Ability to travel (may include overnights).
  • Required:

    Willingness for out-of-territory travel to HQs, training, and sales meetings.
  • Required:

    Work hours may include meetings outside of normal hours.
  • Required:

    Must reside within territory geography.
