The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in leading a customer-focused, top-line sales driven, profitable and productive store location. The role requires inspiring and motivating others by exhibiting core value behaviors, including a customer-focused selling culture, and ensuring execution of the store’s KPIs. Assistant Managers also hold store employees accountable to policies and procedures.

• Displays a customer-focused mindset at all times and ensures all team members deliver an engaging, positive and authentic customer experience.
• Handles customer situations in compliance with policy and procedures, attempts to "solve for yes" and escalates issues as appropriate.
• Maintains a clean and well organized store, promoting a safe working and shopping environment to maximize the customer experience.
• Shares feedback from customers with the leadership team to improve the overall customer experience.
• Performs as the floor supervisor as needed to cover non-peak periods.
• Holds self and others responsible for the accomplishment of all operational tasks.
• Coaches and provides feedback on sales associate performance.
• Supports associate engagement by recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance.
• Provides direction to associates to ensure understanding of company directives and standards.
• Prioritizes and delegates tasks to meet all operational needs.
• Supports and executes visual directives and maintains visual standards set by the company.
• Drives efficiency in all operational store processes.
• Maintains merchandise flow, filling and presentation standards throughout the store and stockroom.
• Ensures all store associates follow all policies, procedures, and all safety program practices.
• Reflects the Pac Sun brand by demonstrating passion and affinity for product, brands, fashion, and trends.
• Inspires and motivates others by consistently exhibiting core value behaviors.
• Demonstrates willingness, aptitude, and initiative to learn product, brands, fashion, and trends.

• Passion for product, brands, fashion and trends.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Proficient in math and possesses strong computer skills.

• Frequent lifting or moving of up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting or moving of up to 35 pounds.
• Frequent sitting, standing for long periods and climbing ladders as needed.
• Regular requirement to talk or hear, sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach, twist, or squat.
• Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stockroom, and office areas.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
• Hotel, airplane, and car travel may be required for SM and above roles only.

This is a full-time position. Ability to work 32‑40 hours a week is required. As a national retailer, flexibility with work schedule (including weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods) is required.
