Overview
Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team. Pay rate: $11.00 to $13.00 per hour. We offer a commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.10 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.
The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more. The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate earns an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity.
The successful Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate's pay is based on factors such as location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities of a Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate(This is a representative list of general duties and is not all-inclusive; other duties may be assigned as needed.)
- Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non-management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
- Performs sales and loan transactions according to policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using appropriate communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Completes assigned training successfully.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting as required by law.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist a customer on exterior areas or retrieve products stored in exterior storage buildings.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Must have flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of personal performance. More details are provided during the interview process.
