Position: Retail Assistant Store Manager - 0114

Description

$13.00 to $17.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $7.53 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with at least six months of management or key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for day‑to‑day operations, promoting a positive and productive environment. You will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations. The role requires overseeing financial statements, participating in asset protection, and facilitating a customer‑centric culture.

Compensation includes an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus tied to store performance.

Responsibilities Of An Assistant Store Manager
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers friendly and professionally and rapidly addressing issues.
  • Monitor and assist in training staff to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent via company‑prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure procedures protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, and documentation.
  • Administer store processes: inventory, loan management, merchandising, presentation, systems, and enterprise reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability.
  • Ensure operations meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain loan quality.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development.
  • Communicate clearly with employees about mission and profit objectives.
  • Stay current on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the Store Manager’s absence.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Ability to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Capability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated supervisory ability.
  • Work with firearms and obtain certification if required.
  • Assist customers or retrieve products outside the store premises.
  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Flexibility to work multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Availability for a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be willing to work 40+ hours a week (no guarantee).
  • Computer literacy and experience with POS systems and office equipment.
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, analytical, and cash‑handling skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exhibit a strong work ethic.
