Job Summary And QualificationsThe Maternal Program Manager (MPM) has the authority and oversight responsibilities for the provision of maternal services through all phases of care including discharge and identifying variances in care for the inclusion in the QAPI plan. In collaboration with the Maternal Medical Director and other members of the leadership team, the MPM monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
Responsibilities- You will monitor the provision of maternal patient care services from admission, stabilization, and operative interventions, through discharge through the QAPI process
- You will have the authority and responsibility to monitor the provision of maternal patient cate services from admission, stabilization operative intervention(s) if applicable, through discharge, and inclusive of the QAPI plan
- You will collaborate with the MMD and SDWCT leadership team in developing and revising policies, procedures and guidelines; assuring staff competency, education and training and the QAPI Plan
- You will frequently lead the maternal QAPI meetings and participates in the Maternal Program oversight, including other maternal meetings
- You will ensure the QAPI Plan is specific to maternal and fetal care, is ongoing, data-driven and outcome-based, including telehealth/telemedicine utilization when used
- You will develop collaborative relationships with other MPMs of designated facilities with the applicable Perinatal Care Region
- You will maintain current knowledge of regulatory initiatives as they relate to education, documentation, and competencies, and facilitate compliance. Identify opportunities in compliance and make necessary changes to improve compliance and quality outcomes
- You will oversee and work collaboratively with maternal data analysts and auditors to review accuracy for reporting Texas AIM:
