Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is a Fortune 500 healthcare company with extensive national presence. The El Paso Behavioral Health System is a private 167‑bed psychiatric hospital located in El Paso, Texas, specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care.
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a registered professional nurse who coordinates and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care of the Texas Board of Nursing. The RN will work at the outpatient clinic, which operates Monday‑Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
Position SummaryThe RN will provide nursing care within the outpatient clinic, ensuring evidence‑based treatment and compassionate care. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and manage patient needs and to administer medications.
Qualifications- Education:
Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program (Bachelor’s Degree preferred). - Experience:
At least one (1) year of nursing experience preferred. - Licensure:
Current license to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing. - Additional Requirements:
Must pass a medication‑administration exam before administering medications; current CPR certification upon hire; successful completion of Handle With Care (physical hold and verbal de‑escalation) during orientation.
