Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a registered professional nurse who coordinates and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care according to Texas Board of Nursing.
About the FacilityEl Paso Behavioral Health System is a private 167‑bed psychiatric hospital located in El Paso, Texas, specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care. We provide a wide range of services and programs that offer evidence‑based treatment proven to have positive outcomes for our patients, including inpatient, day‑hospital, and outpatient services.
ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of this role are encompassed in the Position Summary above and include coordinating patient care, collaborating with the health team, and applying the nursing process to meet standards of care.
Qualifications- Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience preferred.
- Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
- Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. Must have current CPR certification upon hire. Successful completion of Handle With Care, including physical hold and verbal de‑escalation, during orientation.
