Job Summary

Participates in the coordination of clinical programs and services for designated patient populations, collaborates with clinical teams to facilitate patient admissions, discharges, intra-hospital and inter-facility transfer processes and is responsible for assuring compliance with mandated clinical interventions inclusive of core measures within the Medical Center. Assists with or conducts delegated projects, performs managerial responsibilities as delegated by the Admin Dir., including the supervision and evaluation of patient care and all departments’ associates.

Assists Admin. Dir. in development, implementation, and evaluation of department specific systems/activities, which result in organizational improvement. Coordinates activities between shifts and clinical areas to ensure continuity of patient care.

Work Experience

Three years of lead/supervisory/management experience is required, with strong direct patient care experience.

License/Registration/Certification
  • Current and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas is required.
  • Current BLS training is required.
  • Obtainment of ACLS and PALS within 6 months of being in the position is required.
  • Obtainment of the Nursing Professional Development (NPD‑BC), Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML), Nurse Executive (NE‑BC) certification or an approved nursing certification in specialty area is required within 3 years of being in the position.
Education and Training

Bachelor degree in Nursing is required.
