Overview
Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position will support the Medical Oncology Department at our Gateway, El Paso, TX location. This is a full-time Monday–Friday position (8:00 am–5:00 pm) with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

Long-TermIncentive Plan (LTIP)
At Texas Oncology, select roles may be eligible to participate in our Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP): an incentive program designed to attract, retain, and reward top talent. LTIP typically vests over a three-year period and is tied to individual performance and the operational success of Texas Oncology. Awards are discretionary and based on position, performance, and potential for future career growth.
Awards are reviewed during the annual compensation review and are subject to continued employment through the award payment date. LTIP is governed by the written terms and conditions of the LTIP document.
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. The RN must recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care and participates in company-wide quality initiatives. The RN supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
- Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
- Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record information in the patient chart.
- Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments for patients.
- Triages patient phone calls as needed and documents relevant information in the patient’s chart.
- As necessary, facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care.
- Assist patients in locating available community resources.
- Interprofessional collaboration.
- Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
- Willing to consider entry, mid, or senior level candidates.
- Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
