Nurse Practitioner Skilled Nursing Facility (Permanent Role)

Location: El Paso, Texas

Overview

A reputable Skilled Nursing Facility in El Paso, TX is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This role is ideal for an NP who is passionate about geriatric care and skilled nursing environments, and who thrives in a collaborative, patient-centered setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary and acute care to SNF residents

  • Perform daily rounds, assessments, and follow-up visits

  • Diagnose and manage chronic and acute conditions

  • Develop and monitor individualized care plans

  • Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, therapists, and family members

  • Order and interpret diagnostics, labs, and imaging

  • Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR

  • Participate in quality initiatives and interdisciplinary meetings

Schedule
  • Full-time, permanent role

  • Monday Friday (hours determined by facility)

  • No call or weekends required (if facility confirms)

Requirements
  • Active Texas Nurse Practitioner license

  • Experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities or Post-Acute Care required (minimum 1 2 years)

  • Strong understanding of geriatric care and chronic disease management

  • Ability to work independently with physician support as needed

  • Current BLS/ACLS

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
