Join Corr Health as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) during night shifts in Deming, NM.

Schedule: 7 p.m. – 7 a.m. with 36/48‑hour rotation.
Gas stipend: up to $50 weekly based on residence.

Assists in the delivery of inmate care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Works under RN supervision, directing inmate teaching and activities that match the nurse’s education and competencies.

• Under RN supervision, assess inmates’ physical, psychological, and social health needs.
• Plan and implement individual treatment programs, using diagnostic tests and resources; consult with RN and other staff as needed.
• Administer medications, including IV therapy if certified, and all other approved routes.
• Assist with evaluations, medical procedures, and minor surgeries using SOAP charting.
• Collect body fluid specimens and perform EKGs with proper techniques.
• Maintain documentation of controlled substances and medical equipment.
• Respond to safety situations employing proper protocols.
• Implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans as ordered by provider.
• Triage and assess healthcare requests.

• Graduate from an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Maintain current LPN/LVN licensure in the state of employment.

• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Current TB test within the last year.
• All required facility policies and certificates maintained.
• Background check and pre‑employment drug test required.

• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Excellent problem‑solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to use standard medical equipment safely.
• Respect for inmate dignity and confidentiality.

• Ability to remain stationary and move across facility, including stairs.
• Transport objects up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain calm under stressful situations.

Correctional facility; exposure to blood borne pathogens and risk from inmates. Employees must follow security rules to minimize danger.
