Overview
The Alliance of Border Collaboratives (ABC) strives to ensure that low-income and underserved minority populations can exercise their rights to receive appropriate prevention, care, and treatment services. ABC is located in the City of El Paso, TX, and offers services to communities in El Paso, Culberson, Hudspeth, and Presidio Counties in TX, and Otero, Luna, and Doña Ana Counties in NM.
The VISTA Funding Diversification Coordinator will develop and implement the Health Navigation Services (HNS) funding diversification plan to increase funding revenue and support the project’s current operations and sustainability strategy. The HNS goal is to increase access to care and improve health outcomes for the underserved, low-income minority communities in El Paso, Culberson, Hudspeth and Presidio Counties in TX.
We are seeking a VISTA member who has an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, fundraising, communications, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience, plus 1–2 years of experience in grant writing, marketing and fundraising development, and familiarity with social media tools and applications. The candidate should be committed to working with underserved, low-income minority communities, and be able to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Strong problem solving, communication, organizational and time management, and written skills are required. The VISTA member will collaborate with the Project Director, Coordinator, staff, and Community Advisory Board members, network with partner organizations, and have access to professional development opportunities.
