DC Laborer

Summary Of Job The rework utility assistant works closely with warehouse personnel to help expedite materials. Daily accuracy and productivity is necessary for inventory control and accountability.

• Open, close, and pack product manually.
• Properly handle a tape gun and utility knife.
• Accurately count product daily.
• Sort merchandise by SKU.
• Must keep a clean and organized area.
• Must wear anti-slippery, steel-toe shoes, and a safety vest.
• Other duties can be assigned based on the needs of the company.
• Complies and enforces food quality and food safety.
• Complies and enforces Good Distribution Practices (GDPs).

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic reading and writing.
• Basic math skills required.
• Minimum of 1-year previous experience working in a warehouse, fast-moving setting.
• Must be able to operate a pallet jack.
• Must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance.
• Must be safety focused with a production mindset.
• Strong attendance.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds as part of the job function.
• Requires standing for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to effectively perform a job requiring consistent, repetitive motion, bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting.

• Complies and enforces all safety rules.
• Reports any unsafe conditions and/or practice to his/her immediate supervisor.
• Complies with the company’s food safety, food quality and food defense systems.
• Complies with all safety, health, and environmental company policies and procedures.
• Reports any work-related injuries to immediate supervisor.
• Carries proper employee identification when in company’s premises.
• Vehicle parking permit visible when in company’s premises.
• Uses safety shoes (non-slip and steel-toe)
• Utilize appropriate PPE
• Requests support as needed.

• Must have strong organizational skills.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions given in oral written form.
