Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a PRL4 - Assembler IV at our El Paso, TX location! The core scheduled hours are 7:00 am - 3:45 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times/ The rate for this position is $20.47 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

The Assembler IV is responsible for a wide range of skills including wiring, assembling, fitting, and mounting subassemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. Perform assembly or wiring required for test preparation and final inspection. Perform all assignments within the acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping with assigned functions.

In this function, you will:

* Perform the assigned function from oral and/or written instructions, drawings, and wiring schematics.

* Use various tools, such as wire strippers, crimpers, wire cutters, impact guns, drills, and pliers to assemble switchboards' electrical wiring.

* Handle materials following established procedures.

* Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages.

* Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools, and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties and continued dedication to raising the bar.

* Lift 35 lbs. with reasonable accommodation as required.

* Perform other functions and/or tasks as assigned

* Flexing into other functions of the business

* Ability to be a team player and work independently with a sense of urgency

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

* Must meet ONE of the following qualifications:

* 1 year of electrical wiring experience OR

* A completed technical degree in a related field OR

* Connectors I & II certifications AND 1 year of experience as an Assembler III

Preferred Qualifications:

* 2+ years of wiring experience

* 2+ years of assembly experience

* Demonstrated knowledge of wiring assembly

* Must work somewhat independently and make decisions that affect the workgroup. Focus efforts on attaining assigned goals and objectives, which include meeting the needs and expectations of internal and external customers.

* You will contribute to a safe, engaged, and inclusive work culture by complying with all policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment, and performing 5S duties.
