Warehouse Lead

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations within the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and shipping activities. Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth workflow execution and timely completion of tasks. Provide guidance, support, and training to warehouse personnel to enhance performance and productivity.
• Processes information from different departments and customers, and a variety of other forms of documents by resolving inconsistencies and reviewing data for errors using standard data entry procedures.
• Requesting further information for documents that are deemed incomplete.
• Operate a variety of warehouse equipment and vehicles; utilize a variety of hand tools as required.
• Deciphering sloppy handwriting, faded text and transforming into digital or electronic data information.
• Double checking system information for errors or duplicate information before submitting or transmitting reports being sent to our customers.
• Ensure completion of data entry assignment within prescribed time frames.
• Ensure all orders are processed accurately and efficiently, meeting client requirements and deadlines.
• Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycles counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track and manage inventory and order fulfillment processes.
• Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to Warehouse operations.
• Scan photos, blueprints and other documents for data input into document management systems or image database.
• Inputting all types of data into computer programs to store the information for future use.
• Working with ease and confidence with computers and other technology driven processes that introduce automation of a process with the use of iPad/bar code scanner etc.
• Lead and supervise forklift operations, ensuring safe and efficient handling of materials within the Warehouse. Monitor Forklift activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols, load handling procedures, and traffic management rules. Conduct regular inspections of forklifts and other equipment to maintain operational readiness.
• Must coordinate and correspond with drivers, and be aware or knowledgeable of relevant logistical operations, including shipment set‑ups, delivery instructions and estimated delivery expectations, unloading and loading requirements based on our prescribed procedures.
• Maintain records of all outgoing and incoming shipments in a systematic method of filing.
• Executes assigned tasks efficiently under the guidance of the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.
• Proposing suggestions to the supervisor/manager with regards to the data entry procedures and other related job duties that result in improved efficiency.
• Assist the Warehouse supervisor in training and developing warehouse staff, providing guidance and support under their direction.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse Supervisor to develop and implement operational improvements.
• Collaborate with the Billing department by flagging additional charges or service details for supervisor review and approval.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and reinforce safety compliance on the warehouse floor, reporting any violations or concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper operation of equipment, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe handling practices. Promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.
