Job Summary

The Recovery Specialist will provide direct support to individuals in or seeking recovery services, including their family members and allies. They will facilitate necessary referrals, coordinate services, and collaborate with clients to develop essential skills for community functioning. The role involves regular contact with clients to address daily living challenges, promote assertive advocacy, and provide transportation. The primary goal is to support clients in maintaining sobriety and achieving a continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enroll clients and collect necessary data as per contract requirements.
  • Conduct assessments and assist in developing individualized recovery plans based on client’s needs and goals.
  • Engage clients through peer‑to‑peer relationships, providing brief interventions, crisis support, and relapse prevention.
  • Act as the main point of contact throughout treatment and aftercare, providing information, coordinating services, and facilitating access to community resources and transportation.
  • Connect clients with recovery community organizations and other relevant community services to support their recovery journey.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to assess ongoing needs and provide support during treatment and aftercare.
  • Conduct follow‑ups at specified intervals to monitor progress, intervene when needed, and encourage continued engagement in recovery activities.
  • Facilitate peer‑to‑peer group sessions as assigned to meet client and program needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of case files.
  • Stay updated on available community services and developments in the field, contribute to curricula development, and perform assigned duties.
  • Pursue Recovery Coach Certification as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW).
