- Facility University Medical Center of El Paso
- Schedule - Shift - Hours Full Time - Nights - 7pm-7am
Performs re-assessments, collects data and contributes to the care plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse. May perform scrub activities and assist with a variety of patient care activities and interventions for patients of varying ages.
Required Skills- Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
- Possesses effective interviewing and data collection techniques.
- Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- If applicable, skill and ability to concentrate and monitor instruments, sharps and sponge counts.
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
- Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
- Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes.
- One year of experience as an LVN in a health care setting preferred.
- Current license as a LVN in the state of Texas.
- Current CPR training required.
- ACLS required for the following areas:
Telemetry, Labor & Delivery, and Antepartum. - NRP required for the following areas:
Mother/Baby, Newborn Nursery, Labor & Delivery, and Antepartum.
- Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing required.
