Responsibilities
  • Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
  • Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
  • Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct, adhering to federal and state laws, regulations and corporate policies that affect the specific job functions and reporting compliance issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Greets patients entering the physician practice.
  • Answers office phones, makes appointments, confirms appointments and reschedules when necessary.
  • Checks in patients and collects accurate patient demographics, enters data into an electronic system and verifies insurance.
  • Assists in checking out patients and assists them with referral processing and scheduling.
  • Collects co‑pays and posts charges.
  • Processes charge entry and patient balance.
  • Distributes information to patients regarding office policies, procedures and practice information.
  • Explains and enrolls patients in the patient portal.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; completion of a medical office assistant program preferred.
  • Preferred healthcare management or administration certification.
  • Two years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical office setting.

$500 Sign‑On Bonus – new hires only.
