• Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
• Provide educational information to patients regarding injury prevention, ergonomics, restorative therapy, and rehabilitation therapy.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants and aides in performing treatment.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establish a plan of care appropriate to identified problems and involve the patient according to capabilities and desires.
• Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction.
• Perform therapy interventions using standard techniques and skills appropriate for the patient's age and condition.
• Direct and supervise physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel; assess competence, delegate tasks, and establish communication channels.
• Administer treatments involving physical agents, equipment, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices; recommend modifications.
• Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree Required.
• Licenses:
  Physical Therapist License in the state of Texas.
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and to handle stressful environments.
