Emergency Room Technician

Emergency Room Technician – Full‑Time at Emerus Holdings, Inc. Night shift (7:00‑7:00) in a 16‑bed small‑format hospital.

• Emergency medical technician – is an essential qualification

• Collect and document vital clinical data (vital signs, intake/output, pulse oximetry, specimen collection).
• Perform laboratory sampling and testing in accordance with CLIA regulations.
• Assist with patient activities under charge nurse supervision.
• Provide surface wound care and patient safety measures.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Implement aseptic technique, isolation, and infection control.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Help with examinations, procedures, and other patient treatments.
• Keep EMT areas stocked with supplies.
• Use restraints and maintain precautions as needed.
• Travel to all facility locations as required.
• Attend staff and company meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One of the following:
  • Medical Corpsman program completion with 1 year applicable experience.
  • EMT‑P, AEMT, LP course/program with 1 year experience.
  • EMT‑B with 1+ years ER experience (certain markets only).
  • Current enrollment in accredited nursing school with 1 year experience.
  • 2+ years ER experience.
  • 3+ years CNA with relevant hospital experience (market specific).
  • 3+ years Certified Anesthesia Tech/OR Tech experience (market specific).
• Current BLS certification (required). ACLS/ALS required in most markets; exceptions noted for specific locations.
• PALS certifications strongly preferred.
• Experience with IV start, phlebotomy, and EKG initiation strongly preferred.
• For the Las Vegas market: EMT‑P or A‑EMT license required; alternatively IV certification with phlebotomy or lab assistant certification.
• Fluency in English; written and oral communication required.
• Compliance with Pennsylvania Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance) and Act 73 (FBI Criminal History Clearance) within last 5 years.
