Physical Therapist Rehab

Overview

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Rehab for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. This role is at Las Palmas Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare in El Paso, TX.

• Performs Functional Assessments and Re-assessments in accordance with unit policy; collects subjective and objective information and formulates assessment, plan of care and goals individualized to the patient. Re-assesses per department policy and documents as needed; identifies and documents potential discharge needs.
• Treats patients using appropriate physical therapy techniques, procedures, exercises and modalities; uses rehab equipment safely and effectively; modifies the treatment program to maximize patient progress.
• Documents treatment and related forms on the day of service; ensures documentation meets professional standards.
• Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants, PT Technicians, students and volunteers; ensures treatment plans and documentation are followed; initiates corrective action when supervision standards are not met.
• Interacts and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team regarding patient status, discharge plans, equipment needs, recommendations and other patient issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
• REQUIRED LICENSURE/
  
  CERTIFICATIONS:
  
  Licensed by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners; BCLS.

• Education:
  
  BS in Physical Therapy.
• Experience:
  
  1-2 years in any therapy setting preferred; new graduates accepted.
• Knowledge:
  Physical Therapy principles and practices, anatomy and physiology, diseases and post-surgical conditions, body movements and functions, medical terminology.
• Skills/Abilities:
  Ability to work with bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
