As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering impactful civil infrastructure projects with significant self‑perform components. This position is ideal for a candidate with hands‑on experience in water/wastewater, concrete, or heavy civil construction who is confident supporting complex project requirements and field operations.
You will work closely with project leadership to ensure contract compliance, cost control, quality assurance, and successful project execution from startup through closeout.

Perform quantity takeoffs and surveys to support contract progress tracking, reporting, and change management.
Administer subcontracted scopes of work, including defining scope, responding to subcontractor inquiries, and monitoring performance and progress.
Review and understand contract requirements and broader project obligations to ensure compliance.
Support project startup activities in coordination with site leadership.
Review subcontractor submittals for compliance with scope, design documentation, and coordination requirements prior to submission to the design team.
Assist with site inspections conducted by the design team, identify installation deficiencies, and support system commissioning and sign‑offs.
Identify potential project risks within assigned scopes and proactively communicate concerns.
Support additional project tasks and responsibilities as required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
4+ years of construction experience in an operational or field‑based role preferred.
Strong understanding of construction equipment, methods, drawings, specifications, HSE requirements, quality standards, and building materials.
Ability to apply engineering and problem‑solving principles to real‑world construction challenges.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
Experience developing and managing project schedules at a comprehensive level.
Ability to formulate and administer subcontracts and contract documents.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management systems, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
