General Engineer

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Fast-paced role managing facility sustainment, operations, and municipal contracts. Oversees utility services, including electric, water, wastewater, propane, natural gas and primary utilities within Operations and Maintenance Division Services Ft Bliss Texas.

• Coordinates, inspects for quality assurance, and integrates all relevant services contracts and sustainment project functions in support of maintenance, repair, and infrastructure projects.
• Develops, manages, and administers service and supply service contracts as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and Alternate Contracting Officer's Representative.
• Sustains, operates, coordinates, inspects, and oversees projects related to services contracts.
• Provides technical support, engineering subject matter expertise,and project management of services contracts.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid State driver's license.
• This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE
  450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• A satisfactory medical examination is required prior to assignment into the position due to the potential for lifting up to 40
  
  Ibs during inspections.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter.
