Overview
Parsons is looking for a talented Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead in overseeing and mitigating risks associated with the full program scope of a large-scale, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure construction project. Parsons will provide Owner Agent Construction Management Services including Program Management, Construction Management, Risk Management, Scheduling, Cost Estimating, Progress Reporting, Construction Quality Assurance, Safety, and other supporting services to achieve program success for a major government project central to the United States’ border security programs.
You will coordinate with stakeholders and construction contractors, implement environmental protection plans, supervise environmental surveys, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role requires significant on-site observation of conditions and contractor activities to meet environmental and permitting commitments, especially in sensitive areas.

Travel: Possibility of 25%-40% travel between several regions.
What You'll Be DoingDevelop and implement environmental management plans.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies, municipalities, and other stakeholders.
Report environmental performance indicators to Parsons Environmental Compliance Manager, recommending corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate staff and subcontractor schedules for environmental surveys and construction compliance inspections.
Compliance oversight:
Ensure contractors have federal, state, and local approvals and permits, as needed.Oversee the preparation of environmental reports by Parsons environmental staff and subcontractors.
Prepare meeting minutes that capture environmental approvals, concerns, and decisions by regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders; document discussions and issue them expeditiously as required.
Other duties as assigned by the Parsons Environmental Compliance Manager.
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or related discipline with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
Proven expertise in regulatory compliance and stakeholder coordination.
Deep familiarity with environmental standards, procedures, and approval processes.
Experience coordinating with authorities and clients on environmental permitting and construction compliance monitoring.
Excellent written and oral communications skills and thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
Ability to pass a background check.
Must be able to obtain appropriate DHS suitability determination.
