The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for two tenure‑track Assistant Professor Positions in Computer Science (CS), with a research focus on Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering, beginning Fall 2026.

We are seeking scholars who demonstrate a strong record of high‑quality research and a commitment to excellence in teaching. The department values interdisciplinary research and encourages research that bridges disciplines. We also welcome candidates with industry or government experience, recognizing the importance of real‑world applications in research.

Applicants must hold a doctorate in CS or a closely related field by the time of appointment. Successful candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to establish an active research program, and a strong commitment to student success and to UTEP's Access to Excellent Higher Education mission.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
