Dental Assistant - Army Medical Center

Overview

Openings for experienced Dental Assistants to support dental readiness processing for military personnel. Ensure service members are dentally cleared for worldwide deployment.

• Assist dentist with direct patient care procedures
• Set up and clean dental equipment following infection control protocols
• Perform dental radiological exams with diagnostic quality imaging
• Provide patient instructions clearly and professionally
• Assist with documenting findings and treatment plans in patient records
• Maintain proper sterilization and safety procedures
• Support high-volume dental screening operations

• Education: One of the following:
  Certificate/Associate degree from CODA-accredited dental assistant program + 12 months experience;
  Military dental technician/assistant certification + 12 months experience;
  Red Cross Dental Assistant certification + 12 months experience; 36 months dental assistant experience (within last 48 months);
  State-accredited dental assistant program graduate
• Radiography: Certified per 42 CFR Part 75
• BLS: Current certification (in-person)
• Experience: 1+ year as dental assistant within last 2 years
• Citizenship: U.S. Citizen

• Location: Fort Bliss WBAMC
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Patient Population: Military service members
