What does a Customer Service Representative do?As a Customer Service Representative at HME Specialists, you will play a vital role in delivering top‑notch service to our valued customers. Your responsibilities include:
- Answering phone calls, gathering accurate patient demographic information, verifying insurance benefits, and obtaining necessary authorizations.
- Ensuring that the intake process is completed flawlessly for clean claim submissions.
- Collaborating with the team on invasive ventilator setups, handling customer orders, determining service charges, and documenting any complaints or equipment failures.
- Addressing dissatisfied customers, coordinating complaint resolutions, and liaising with various stakeholders for timely discharges.
- Logging important information into our systems and validating its completeness and accuracy.
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, healthcare providers, and internal team members.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and smooth claim submissions.
- The ability to navigate and utilize computer systems efficiently, including software such as Brightree, for managing patient data and processing orders.
