Overview

We're hiring a Seasonal Videographer/Editor in El Paso, TX to support Vado Speedway Park. The Videographer/Editor will develop and create visual storytelling across multiple platforms, using both photography and videography to inform, engage and entertain Mesilla Valley Transportation audiences and support MVT’s communication and marketing goals.

This role is seasonal and work is expected to run between February 2026 - November 2026, with the expectation that the Videographer will work approximately 20 hours per week based on the needs of Vado Speedway Park. Candidates must have very flexible availability to work Friday - Monday for both day and night shifts dependent on the event schedule.

• Work with a Content Writer or collaborative team to create the film or video product.
• Gather and propose ideas and topics for videos.
• Figuring out what type of equipment to use.
• Cleaning and disassembling hardware.
• Set up and tear down cameras, audio recorders, lighting, microphones, and props.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment.
• Complete small repairs on broken equipment.
• Preparing background film or “B” rolls as well as a live feed.
• Troubleshoot problems with the equipment.
• Interview people and create a film clip by editing raw footage.
• Work in the studio as part of a production team to edit films.
• Insert closed captioning, graphics, or other on-screen text into a video.
• Add computer graphics and special effects to videos.

• High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that is above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Strong experience using Adobe Premiere (required).
• Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform repairs to audio and video equipment.
• Ability to effectively manage time and schedules.
• Records maintenance skills.
• Ability to configure, operate and maintain studio and/or field audio, lighting, and associated production equipment.
• Familiarity with computerized tape editing applications and procedures.
• Knowledge of professional audio and/or video tape editing and post-production procedures, techniques, and standards.

Vado Speedway Park is a 3/8 mile semi-banked clay oval and hosts weekly dirt track racing action on most Saturday nights from February through November. The track is also home to several non-racing events, including Monster Truck shows and a holiday light display.
