The mission of CPLC's Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is to promote the health, well-being, and stability of refugees, unaccompanied alien children, and other eligible individuals and families, through culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based services. Our vision is for all new arrivals to be welcomed with equitable, high-quality services and resources so they can maximize their potential.

How will you make an impact in this role?

In response to the humanitarian crisis at America’s ports of entry, CPLC is providing short-term shelter care services for unaccompanied children who arrive without a parent or legal guardian.

In this role, you will:

  • Support a best-in-class residential environment that prioritizes the emotional, educational, physical, and therapeutic needs of every child.
  • Help ensure children receive immediate access to pediatric care, dental care, nutrition, education, and enrichment activities.
  • Contribute to a team that is deeply committed to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based practices.
  • Play a crucial role in helping children reunify quickly and safely with their family sponsors.

Minimum Qualifications And Competencies
  • High School Diploma or equivalent degree and a minimum of 1 year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents.
  • Associates degree with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience, highly preferred.
  • Minimum age of 21 years or older.
  • English/ Spanish bilingual capabilities required.
  • Must possess and maintain a current valid Driver’s License meeting company standards of insurability
  • Proficiency with computers, common office equipment, and MS Office products.
  • Must be able to perform emergency behavioral intervention (EBI) for clients in care when necessary.
  • Meet the requirements of the contract for all immunizations.
  • Clean criminal background check.
  • Clean child abuse and neglect or child protective services check.
  • Ability to pass a medical examination to determine one’s fitness to satisfactorily and safely care of clients if accommodations are required.
