As a Business Development Officer, you will be responsible for building positive relationships with key community and business organizations to understand key employers in the market and promote a positive image for the Credit Union. You will build Credit Union business through networking, call programs, and participation in expos/events. Responsible for Select Employer Group (SEG) business development and growth for the Credit Union.
You'll determine potential Select Employer Group prospects, acquisition, and successful handoff to the Engagement Specialist.
What You’ll Do:
- Build and grow relationships with local businesses and community organizations
- Identify and onboard new Select Employer Groups (SEGs)
- Represent the Credit Union at events, expos, and volunteer opportunities
- Deliver financial education seminars and promote our products and services
- Track outreach efforts and share insights to improve member experience
What You ll Need:
- One to Three years of similar or related experience
- Associate's degree in business Administration, Marketing or related field
Key
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in multi-tasking, meeting strict deadlines, dealing with sensitive information, and problem resolution while providing exceptional service
- knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and all internal systems as affiliated with the department
- Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information, and handle problem resolution
- Stay informed on major community development issues that potentially impact our SEGs, membership, and the communities served by the Credit Union
Present education seminars on financial literacy/capability and support other Credit Union department efforts in delivering education seminars to improve member understanding of our products, services, and financial well-being
