Position Overview

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor - 1st shift in El Paso, TX. The hours are Monday - Friday from 6am - 2:30pm.

Expected annual salary range: $83,000 - $122,000. Eligible for a variable incentive program. Salary is a general guideline and is based on skill, experience, qualifications, market and business considerations.

What You’ll Do

The supervisor drives the processes in the department through the Eaton Business systems and assists the plant Manager/Operations Manager in developing processes to achieve a zero‑incident culture, maximize output, maintain machinery, and reduce overall costs, thereby exceeding customers’ expectations.

Essential Functions
  • Monitor and improve the systems in place to maximize quality and production.
  • Schedule and commit the workload to meet all customer needs in the most effective manner.
  • Maintain and improve the quality and effectiveness of the department’s methods/processes.
  • Communicate with the department’s employees on subjects relating to policy, problem resolution, department objectives, and quality issues.
  • Create and maintain a high level of employee morale.
  • Control and manage overtime, tool, and other budgets within current guidelines.
  • Manage payroll, attendance, performance reviews and other administrative needs in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate with other departments in an effective manner.
  • Develop potential candidates for management and professional positions.
  • Promote a positive and productive workplace environment that ensures a company‑represented workforce.
  • Promote plant MESH (safety) policies and encourage employees to follow sound safety practices; support/promote zero‑incident culture.
  • Develop and maintain a self‑directed work team environment.
  • Support teams in achievement of objectives and commitment.
  • Support company‑sponsored community involvement and employee activities.
  • Other duties, projects as assigned.
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment demonstrating success in leadership and achieving results.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A technical industrial or management background along with working knowledge of products (LVA, MVC, MVD, Fabrications) is preferred.
  • BSEE or other engineering degree from an accredited institution preferred.
