Responsibilities

  • Verify benefits and eligibility on admission inquiries.
  • Prepare admission folders.
  • Collect co‑pays and deductibles from patients.
  • Assist in establishing effective and timely payment plans.
  • Coordinate with utilization review and discharge planning efforts to limit risk of non‑payment.
  • Provide ongoing patient benefit information.
  • Participate in patient discharge procedures.
  • Coordinate financial arrangements with collection personnel.
Qualifications

Position Summary

The Business Office Manager is responsible for managing the staff within the admission department.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field (required).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in admission processes and collections procedures, including interpretation of insurance coverage plans, co‑payments and deductible schedules, and payment plans (required).
  • Working knowledge of managed care, Excel and business software programs.
