Driver - Full Time (Maintenance)

Assists residents with loading and unloading from facility-approved vehicles. Ensures the safe transportation of residents to scheduled medical appointments, activities, and outings. Maintains the interior and exterior of facility vehicles to promote safety and comfort, and projects a positive community image. Monitors vehicle maintenance logs and arranges for scheduled maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Must be flexible with work hours, especially if resident appointments or activities run late.

Must have training and demonstrate safe clinical transfer techniques, including ingress and egress of mobile patients, transfer of patients into and out of wheelchairs, and securing wheelchair-bound residents in vans. Capable of lifting, transferring, and mobilizing patients weighing up to 70 pounds in confined spaces inside vans. Able to make complex decisions involving highly dependent patients.

Supervisory Requirements: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum age: 25 years
• Valid Driver's License
• Familiarity with GPS and local driving area
• No recent traffic crimes such as DUI, reckless driving, or traffic felonies in the last 7 years
• Up to 2 moving violations and one accident in the past 3 years
• Pass drug screening and background check
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Completion of CNA training and maintenance of certification through CE

Physical Demands: Capable of occasionally lifting/moving up to 75 pounds. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, read, and hear.
