Accounts Payable Specalist

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to manage and process company invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of AP processes, and the ability to work cross-functionally with vendors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

+ Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner

+ Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices (3-way match)

+ Review and resolve invoice discrepancies

+ Prepare and process weekly/biweekly payment runs (ACH, check, wire)

+ Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries

+ Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close activities

+ Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

+ Support audits by providing documentation and explanations

Qualifications

+ 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting

+ Strong knowledge of AP processes and best practices

+ Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Quick Books, or similar)

+ Intermediate Excel skills (vlookups/xlookups, pivot tables preferred)

+ High attention to detail and accuracy

+ Strong time management and organizational skills

+ Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

+ Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ Experience in high-volume AP environments

+ Familiarity with ERP systems

+

Experience with expense reporting tools (e.g., Concur, Expensify)
