• Operates vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
• Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required routes, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations
• Manages truck and trailer in loading/unloading areas; follows loading crew signals
• Assists with loading and unloading, uses specialized equipment when warranted; returns equipment to designated areas
• Maintains invoices, bills of lading, and other paperwork; delivers documentation to the shipping office when the route is complete
• Performs routine service checks on trucks (oil, water, etc.); reports maintenance issues
• Arranges trailers in shipping yards for optimal loading patterns
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to speak professionally with customers and staff
• Ability to remain focused in a busy environment
• Must hold a commercial driver’s license or chauffeur’s license as appropriate for vehicle weight
• Must pass background and drug testing as required by regulations
• Must pass DOT physical as trucks weigh over 10,000 lbs
• Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle
• Ability to sit for long periods in a trailer cab
• Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to travel frequently
• CDL drivers may be required to be clean-shaven to meet customer requirements
• Safety sensitive position with pre-employment drug screening
