Amer Cable is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Technician to join our Maintenance Team. This team is committed to the maintenance of the facilities and operations.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air handlers, chillers, heat exchangers, and refrigeration equipment
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that HVAC systems operate efficiently
- Conduct inspections of HVAC systems and their components (e.g., evaporators, condensers, compressors, and motors) to ensure they are in proper working order
- Calibrate and adjust thermostats, humidistats, and other control systems
- Ensure HVAC systems comply with all applicable regulations and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
- Maintain compliance requirement documentation
- Stay updated with the latest HVAC technologies and industry best practices
- Support other Plant Engineering department activities
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
- Proficient in using HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment
- HVAC/R license
- Must be able to obtain state boiler license
- Ability to effectively communicate with other employees, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work extended hours as needed, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment
- Required to work at heights above ground level
- Must be able to operate a forklift
- Must be able to physically move material, possibly up to 50 lbs
